Project Overview
This project involved the design and construction of concrete pads to display Stryker vehicles and the installation of additional flagpoles at the 2-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) Headquarters lawn. The goal was to create a permanent and ceremonial display that honors the unit’s mission while enhancing the visual presence of the brigade headquarters.

My Role & Contributions
As part of the survey team, I (PV2 Peña) played a key role in the early phases of the project and contributed to the successful completion:
Conducted survey measurements for layout and siting of the concrete pads and flagpoles.
Assisted with drafting preliminary design layouts.
Coordinated with senior technical staff to ensure proper alignment, grading, and site placement.
Gained hands-on exposure to site preparation and layout verification.
Outcome & Lasting Impact
Two reinforced concrete pads were constructed, each supporting a parked Stryker vehicle.
Multiple flagpoles were installed, enhancing the ceremonial and visual presence of the headquarters entrance.
The completed project remains in place today, serving as both a symbol of the brigade’s identity and a lasting contribution to the installation.
